INFORMATION ON MUGHAL EMPIRE KINGS

The period from 1526 to 1857 was known as the Mughal Empire period. Babar laid the foundation of the Mughal empire in 1526. Bahadur Shah Zafar was the last king of the Mughal empire, who led the battle of 1857.

MUGHAL EMPIRE KINGS

BABUR ( 1526 TO 1530 BC)

  • Babur was invited to invade India by Punjab ruler Daulat Kha and Alam khan uncle of Ibrahim Lodi.
  • Babur is considered the founder of the Mughal Empire in India.
  • Babur was born on 14 February 1483 in Fargana state. His father’s name was Umar Shaik Mirza & his mother’s name was Futalug nigar.
  • After the death of his father at the age of 11, he sat on the throne of Fargana.
  • On April 21, 1526, the battle of Panipat took place between Babur and Ibrahim Lodi. In which Babur’s victory.
  • In honor of the conquest of Panipat, Babur gave one silver coin to each resident of Kabul, hence it is also known as ‘Kalandar’.
  • On 16 March 1527, a battle was fought between Babur and Rana Sanga in which Babur won.
  • Babur died on 26 December 1530 and was buried in Kabul.
  • Babur wrote his autobiography in Turkish, “Tujuk-e-Babari”
  • Babur was the first to use cannons in battle.
